If the light that is flashing is the check engine light, it should stay on until the engine starts. So yes a flashing light could mean a failed computer. A mechanic would check to see if the computer has power and ground, and connect a scanner to the port to read any fault codes it may have.

SOURCE: where is the tcu in a 2002 honda accord

it is the Transmission Control Unit. you have to find the reason why the TCU is flashing the D4 fault code. not replace the unit. have your vehicle scanned for another code. your transmission or transaxle is giving you a warning that something is wrong .

You more than likely have a problem with the TCU (transmission control unit). It may also be other things. You need to seek professional help before spending money on a TCU that may or may not be the problem. It takes an expert to diagnose this problem.

SOURCE: brake lamp light on a 2002 Honda Accord SE

I assume you mean the one on the dash. This is an indicator that there is a problem in your braking system. Make sure it's not low on Brake fluid and have the brake system checked or check it yourself. If your going to check it yourself I recommend the Haynes repair manual on your vehicle as a reference.
