Question about 2003 Buick Rendezvous
The hesitation, skipping and rough running started suddenly and i took the car to auto parts place to have them check with their "reader". It came back as a cylinder 2 misfire. I replaced the spark plug (although it was firing just fine) still having the same issue. Also all of our vehicles are the doing the same thing.(05 chevy colorado, 03 cadillac and 03 rendezvous) went to local dealership, they said that GM is blaming this issue on ethenol in fuel. I have added "good" fuel system cleaner to gas tank on all 3... not sure what else to do
Use a different fuel station. First run the fuel tank low before refilling elsewhere.

hey thanks for bringing me up to speed. ive been working on many other problems but with your great explanation i remember.
we need to check the compression on that cyl. and compare it to the compression on 2 other cylinders your choice.
but before you do this get a can of carb cleaner . and with the car idling spray around the intake manifold in the area of #6 cyl. what we are looking for is a small vacuum leak that would also act like this. with the engine idling and spraying around the intake the engines idle sould not change and if it does when you spray you have an intake leaking.
let me know how it turns out.

you nead to check all you vacuum lines for leaks it sounds like you have a vacuum leak or the o2 sensor is going bad on bank 1 **** i still say vacuum leak

What you have is a vacuum leak in the evaporative emission line.
The solenoid valve or line is broken allowing un-metered air to enter the intake system and is causing the high idle.
Once the leak is fixed, the codes can be cleared and you should be OK barring any additional problems, but the vacuum leak needs to be fixed first.
Let me know.

plugs and or wires.
for some reason the spark is jumping out of the wire or plug.
the plug insulater may have a crack in it.
also use a carb spray to clean out the throttle body at the throttle plate.
all the black carbon will build up around the throttle plate and restrick airflow at an idle position.
hope this helps
