Question about Cars & Trucks

How can I include selling on Ebay under the "work experience" section of a resume?

Actually I haven't had a traditional job for several years and the only "job" if I could call it that during this time has been selling various merchandise on eBay. I would like to list this under the "work experience" category of a resume but I don't know how to do it in order for it to look credible. First of all I would like to know - does selling on eBay count as work? Whether it does or doesn't, I would really appreciate some tips on how to write it in my resume. Is there a way to phrase it so that prospective employers will see this as a real job?

Sounds to me that you were a small business owner selling items on eBay.You could also be called a broker if you got your items from other sources and then you can sold them.Actually this is the part of commerce community on internet,Which is the growing economy and help to increase your economy rate.Part of making a good resume is being creative enough to make what experience you have look valid, without being caught in a lie.
You don't have to tell your employer that you were fired and couldn't find a job,you only have to say that you needed some time to be at home so you temporarily left the workforce. This eBay business you had was only a sideline, you always intended to return to the work force and you are interested in working with this company.Be honest in your resume and put down the last tradition job you had, and then add the reason for your break from the work place in the comments section.

SOURCE: My 1997 Plymouth Voyager won't

When it doen'st start, you will need to check for spark, fuel. If it doesn't have one of these, you will need to start tapping the relay related to starter, and fuel pump. The best way to determine which ones they are is to get a manual, but another way is to place your hands on the relays that you think maybe related and have someone turn the key on. The correct relay will click. Now, you will need to see if the same relays are clicking during the no-start. If any of them fails to click, tap them with a screw driver. If it starts then, replace the relay. It maybe interfering with the radio since this is an electrical event.

SOURCE: Trunk lid won't electrically open

Its possible that your problem isnt electricla, maybe mechanical (physical); check the next procedure about Trunk Lid Lock Cylinder REMOVAL & INSTALLATION to confirm and adjust...

Fig. 1: Pull the trunk lid lock cable upward from the bracket and slide it out of the lock cylinder plate

Fig. 2: Pull the lock cylinder retaining clip upward

  1. Pull the trunk lid lock cable upward from the bracket and slide it out of the lock cylinder plate.
  2. Pull the lock cylinder retaining clip upward to release the lock cylinder plate.
  3. Remove the lock cylinder plate.
  4. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Add WD40 oil to lubricate all components; about the fuses, you are right, isnt showed in the manual, but could test and check position 25 and 30 in passneger fuse panel (alarm and locking system).

Keep us updated.

420 code cat code runs good, can it be cleaned up

I haven't seen any product or additives that will actually clean up a converter...and I've tried several over they years to see if they would help. What I have found is that these products sometimes make the engine run a little cleaner long enough so the Cat will pass the efficiency test for a bit yet they don't do anything to the Cat itself. I've also had the best luck replacing converters with OEM units that are made specifically for that particular vehicle and application. Hope this helps and good luck!

1997 landrover discovery

First let me admit that I haven't worked on a LandRover in years, so I highly recommend that you contact someone that has recent experience.

That being said; it sounds like a throw out bearing failure to me. Although it could be a pressre plate issue, it really doesn't matter since I always recommend that the pressure plate, throw out bearing and clutch plate be replaced at the same time, since a failure of one is an indication the others life span is coming to the end.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but my LandRover experience was mainly in the 80s and early 90s

I just did a head gasket replacement went well perfect in fact some hassle but not bad. But when I tried to start it it won't start? Fuel pumps seems to working I can hear it when I use key just before...

I think this is the right order for your car: Plug order If you really do already have them in the right order, have you verified that you actually have spark? I've only done a couple head gasket jobs on other makes of cars and there always seems to be some electrical connector(s) that I missed when reassembling.

The service engine light came on - code was P0305 The coil, spark plug and wires all replaced. Fuel injector cleaner added. After, the service engine light flashes on then off - code P0174

Must be a full moon today & repair shops purposely
do poor work this week

This site is unbelievable

You gave use no vehicle what so ever

We only guess here anyway, so what the heck

The PO 305 usually is a COP ---individual coil-on plug
related problem -- for cylinder #5 last number of code
301 thru 306 or 8

With that there are no spark plug wires

Injector cleaner --- think about 16 oz in ten or more gallons
of fuel. Really do much, not in my 47 years experience
Won't hurt, but won't fix anything. If it was necessary or did
work it would be recommended in your owners manual & come with the car

Now the PO174 is an O2 Sensor Code so common I think
we all have one

System too lean on Bank 2
In your case that is the passenger side most likely

80% of O2 Codes are Vacuum leaks & a misfiring coil,
that your shop can't figure out doesn't help

Bottom line: few places seem to like or be able to fix a ford
Seriously, including some dealers, how is that. I have have no problems

Let go further

Spark Plugs--are they replaced every 3 years & not over 60,000 miles
O2 Sensors --replaced at 100,000 miles front 2 only, ones in inlet of converter
MAF Sensor cleaned once or twice a year
All ducting from air filter to throttle body--- leak free
NO VACUUM LEAKS ANYWHERE --ducting,intake,EVAP System, exhaust system

Your shop needs to actually use their scan tool in mode $06 & drive the car
& look at misfire counts & any number of other data

A new repair shop would be my suggestion
Sloppy work for sure

What is the maintenance required on 2005 hyundai Sante Fe V6 at 45,000 miles. I have a slight skip at times

That may be an ignition coil misfire

Nothing to do with preventative maintenance

You should have a log book for all your vehicles
& build your own schedules based on time, mileage
& experience from everything you have learned over
the years & every vehicle you have had

I treat all vehicles the same
If you go by the Mfg recommendation, you will
break down, they want it that way & then sell you
a new one

With todays technology you have to be proactive &
actually go look for problems thru out the year before you
have what your experiencing

I assume like ALL people you have no owners manual
& have no desire to stop by a dealer to ask any questions

You do not have to have work done there to ask

. front end ball joint replacement

Your ball joints are press in units that require the use of a hand press. You can either rent one or some of the larger parts stores sometimes have ones you can borrow (with a deposit). Unlike some press in joints that can be hammered in, you cannot do that because the steering knuckle is too deep and the joint will bind before you get it installed and further hammering will destroy it.
Use a chilton or haynes manual as a guide if you haven't ever installed a joint. The key to getting it right is to have the correct press parts ready before you actually install them, make sure that the bores in the knuckle are clean and have no burrs and while installing make sure the joint stays perfectly straight. One trick I often use is to put the new joints in the freezer so they shrink a need to work quickly though or they warm up and then that's a waste of time.
If you have some experience, it's not a terribly difficult job. If you don't, then have someone do it for you.

I want a repair manual to replace my own timing belt. Anyone else make one besides Hyundai? I worked on my 89 Mazda 323hb all by myself and it lasted to 18yrs old(my nephew bought it and crashed it)

There are other resources available but I have found the manuals complete on CD offer more precise detailed information as they are the same as the Factory service manuals. I've used & recommended these for years & have had good experiences with sellers for the most part on eBay.

I looked up one, Item # 190350140107 for 00-05 Accent, on eBay for 7.95 delivered via mail. It' a CD, but once you load it you can access any information pretty much about the car inside & out, including troubleshooting information.

If the years are wrong just do a search on eBay by year & model to get nearly any Factory service manual ever printed. With a laptop, you can see exactly what you're working on at the car, or you can print the pages as you need them.

good luck.
