Question about Peugeot 207

My 207 keeps pulling to the left

Hi, I bought my Peugeot 207 from a local garage last year, just out of 3 yr guarantee (manufactured Feb 2009). As soon as I pulled off it was pulling to the left and the steering wheel is off centre. I was fobbed off by the garage, and have had it aligned several times elsewhere, who say they have set it back to manufacturers standard, but the steering wheel is still off centre and pulls left as when I had it. I think this is a fault from new: could it be the steering rack? My shoulder hurts driving it and I know paying out for more alignments is not the answer: can anyone help me please??? At my wits end! Thanks in advance! :)

If alignment resetting isn't working it appears you bought a LEMON! That is to say that the the "fobber offers" knew that the chassis alignment was off at the getgo. It must have been in an accident and was never realigned at a frame straightening shop....if you have lemon laws where you are you might consult a lawyer about what to do next!

I had new clutch fitted 3 weeks ago now the gear stick has gone loose and I only have 3rd and 4th gear

Sounds like one of the rods between the gear lever and gearbox has become detached. One rod transmits the forward-backward motion, the other left - right, with the "natural" bias keeping the lever in the 3rd / 4th gear plane - hence why you've only got 3rd and 4th gear.

You should have some guarantee from the company that fitted the clutch so contact them to sort it out.

My central locking and manual entry to my peugeot 207 has stopped working completely, i cannot gain access to my car.

Both radio key and manual rely on the car battery to trigger the central locking == if the battery is 100% flat you can't get in ... I assume by now you have called the AA (or garage) .. if not, you may have to crawl under the car with a stick to release the bonnet lock

Thermo fan

A condition of warranty is usually to not only have the car serviced at the correct intervals but also to be able to provide proof of that. If you go to the dealership and ask them to fix your fan they might not ask to see the proof. You might get away with it...

In Europe, vehicle manufacturers and dealers are forced by law to honour warranties as car owners have the right to use any independent garage or workshop, though it still should be documented and proof of genuine parts being used is good politics.

If the dealer refuses there is no reason to waste the journey - you could question a mechanic about the likely cause of the trouble, ask the parts guy if they have been selling a lot of something to do with your problem.

My Peugeot 207 HDI 1.6 shows a warning messessage DepolutionSystem Failure I have been tole that the turbo needs replacing. The car is just 4 years old and now out of warranty it has only done 33,000 miles...

these cars do go through turbos due to the grade of oil used when servicing.
peugeot recomend a low saps oil to save the turbos
if the garage you use has not used the correct oil this could one of the reasons for the turbo problems
i would sugest going to your local citizens advice office to see what your rights are

let me know if this helps
cheers
