That is your engine service light, it needs to be reset after the car was serviced.

What does flashed the computer mean

The correct term is to "flash the BIOS". The BIOS (Basic Input-Output System" is a small, physical chip hardwired onto every computer motherboard. It is key to booting and running your computer; when you press the power button, the power supply starts and the very next thing that activates is the BIOS which sends instructions to the CPU (your processor) to activate your hard drive and other devices (DVD drives, USB ports, etc.) which has your operating system (aka Windows) and boots Windows. Sometimes you have new technology you want to install on an old machine, and in order for your operating system to "see" it the BIOS must be updated with new commands. So "flashing" means that you overwrite the BIOS with a new set of instructions. No BIOS should be flashed unless:
>You absolutely need to
>You know exactly what you are doing and how to do it
>You know exactly what to do if your flash goes bad.
If a flash is done improperly you will ruin your computer and cannot boot. Period. Sometimes it can be fixed with a re-flash, but don't depend on it.

Service light not on

Sometimes and only sometimes it can be the (gas tank lid). It does not always get (turned) on enough. Tighten it (by hand ofcourse) until it makes a racheting sound. Drive it abit like for 15 mins and see if it goes out.
If that is not the fix (think) about what you have been feeling while driving. examples are: hard to strart, surging while driving. Sometimes it goes on as something is (about) to happen.

2006 ford escape.. #1. abs light on & stays on. #2. 4wd light comes on,flashes 8 times then gos off

Changing the sensors &/or tone ring may work temporarily but it won't last. I have a 2005 and have had it done and it kept happening. Had it serviced at dealer, asked dealer how to fix it or make light go out and on and on....after I think 5 yrs. it is still on. It hasn't affected my vehicle as far as I can tell. Comes on blinks 8 times, goes off....drive another 8/10ths of a mile and it comes back on, flashes eight times...and so it goes tidily bomMust be an Escape kinda thing.

The parking brake is disengaged and when i am driving it will flash

In most cases when the brake or parking light comes on it's due to the switch not making full contact with the parking brake linkage. Sometimes just manually pulling the brake back will make the light go off. Fix is to adjust the switch out just a little so that the switch goes off when the brake is released.

2000 accord ex w/ 4 cylinder engine. The light around the D4 (indicating gear) flashes and the car accelerates very slowly in cold weather until the engine gets warm. What is wrong? How to fix?''

The D4 indicator light flashing indicates that your car's computer believes that there is something wrong with your transmission.

This is what the manual for your 2000 Accord says:

The "D4" indicator comes on for a few seconds when you turn the ignition switch ON (II). If it flashes while driving (in any shift position), it indicates a possible problem in the transmission. Avoid rapid acceleration and have the transmission checked by an authorized Honda dealer as soon as possible.

Sometimes this will mean that you are simply low on transmission fluid, but you really should have it checked.

Hope this helps you.

An icon came up and i dont know what it means

That is your coolant light. When the coolant is cold (car is cold) it is blue for a moment then goes out.
When the coolant is too hot, it is red.
When it flashes, you are low on coolant. Check the coolant tank level (it is the big ball shaped reservoir) and make sure you are within the operating level (about half way up, there are marks indicating proper level)

Check engine light is on and flashes while driving

Flashing means it will let raw gas into cat converter and ruin it. hopefully that didnt happen yet. most times flashing also means ignition failure such as plugs/wires. those tend to go thru ignition coils alot. if you already tried plugs and wires you might think of that. of course a generic code scanner would be ideal to know what code is really coming up but what I offered is most popular fix. Hope I helped. Thanks

Engine light is flashing on, and is running rough!

WHEN THE LIGHT IS FLASHING IT MEANS THAT YOU HAVE A MISFIRE. I SUGGEST YOU REPLACE PLUGS AND WIRES. BECAREFUL DRIVING BECAUSE ALTHOUGH UNLIKLY, IT COULD BE MORE SERIOUS AND CAUSE A FIRE

Mitsubishi Montero

I had the same problem as described here ... quoted "sometimes flashing quickly, slowly, or sometimes turning off. The antilock brake light has also come on several times."

and the dealership told me that the electrical conector that goes externally to the gear drive is getting dirty with oil .... two times I sent the car and they told me the same and solved it ... no charges at least but I having the same problem again ... I really want to know where is that electrical conector just to clean it up or put something that avoid dirty or oil get in it again ...

94 Plymouth Sundance.. engine light and sluggish from dead stop! Help

What you do is turn the ignition to the "on" position and back to the "off" position 3 times. On the last "on/off" cycle, leave the key in "on". The check engine light will start flashing. The first group of flashes is the 1st number of the code. There will be a pause and then a 2nd set of flashes will be the 2nd number of the code. If there's more than one code, there will be a pause and then there will be another set of flashes for the next code and so on. A Haynes or Chilton's repair manual, available at any parts store, will tell you what the codes mean.
