Could be your fuel filter, timing, spark plug wires, add drygas to tank, red bottle has fuel injecter cleaner, use it , every tank fill up. air cleaner should be replaced as well. at lease do all the above, except timing see what it does for you

On my 88 Lincon Mark 5 when it is cold it will start but it misses after it starts to warm up it shuts off and has difficulty starting back everytime we go to put it in gear it will die it wont even...

Sounds like you have a bad ign. module. When the engine is cold moisture causes the miss and when the engine warms the module shorts out all together.

1989 mitsubishi galant, when engine is cold has severe miss, after reaching operating temperature miss disappears, and engine runs smooth.

manifold air temperture or intake air temperture sensor is bad . you can check the voltage on it when cold then w/hair dryer warm sensor up an check voltage if the resistance is more than 500 ohms then it is bad.

Engine missing when first starting in cold

This could be due to a malfunctioing coolant sensor. It is located near the thermostat housing. It may be stuck in cold operation mode. You are probably getting bad gas mileage too. Make sure air filter is clean too. Good luck!

Cold starts ok warms up shakes and stalls

check engine coolant temperature when it gets warmer, or at operating temperature, and verify that the temperature gauge is showing warmed up to operating temperature. If the coolant temperature sensor tells the computer the engine is cold it will over fuel and miss and the engine will die. When cooled down it will run fine until it warms up. Also could be coil if it starts missing after warmed up.

99 suberban missing at idle after warm

Code shows missfire on No 1 cylider. When engine is cold it runs a rich mixture. If the missfire is still No 1 then check for vac leak on manifold. Perhaps a vac line or intake gasket.
