I have a 2007 GMC Yukon that runs fine in 2wd and in 4wd! But when it is in Auto 4wd it is acting like it needs to be In 4wd!! Keeps shifting into 4wd no matter the road conditions!! Anybody know what is...

The Auto 4 wheel drive is controled by an electronic silinoid. If the silinoid is going bad it will cause it to shift in and out of 4 wheel drive. I hope this helps you out, and if you have any more questions please feel free to ask.

Car is sputtering like got bad gas

have you recently purchased gas? that's 1st question. if you suspect bad gas, add 1 bottle of CLEAR rubbing alcohol to your fuel tank, this will dry up any water that has been added into your fuel tank. or perhaps your fuel injectors may be clogging up,suggest that you add lucas fuel injector cleaner to your fuel tank. you can find the lucas at any auto zone, advance auto parts store. or check your local auto parts store for it. add it to your fuel tank and run the engine,it cleans your fuel injectors as you drive the car,or run the engine.if this does'nt help,i suggest that you check for bad spark plugs,or bad spark plug wires. this will also make your engine sputter.do you have a check engine light on? if so,auto zone or advance auto can code read your car for free. they will plug it up and tell you which sensor is bad or what you need to replace to make the light go off.narrow your search by ruling out this 1st {bad fuel} {spark plugs in need of replacement,or spark plug wires in need of replacement} hoping this helps, and thank you for choosing fixya.com

How much does a fuel pump replacement cost for a 2004 Kia Optima?

I was driving to work one day and my car wouldn't go faster than 40 miles per hour. I took it to a friend who was a mechanic and he said it could be the fuel pump. I went to Auto Zone and purchased a fuel pump Part Number: E8335 for $69.99 plus tax. When I went to replace it I saw it was already replaced with a Auto Zone fuel pump before. My friend put the new one in but it didn't help. I took it to the dealership and they did a pressure test on the fuel line. I was told it should be 45-47 pounds of pressure and I was only getting 23 pounds of pressure. I was told it was better to replace the Fuel Pump Module Assembly rather than just the fuel pump. I was told by the service manager that it was $300.00 plus tax for the Fuel Pump Module Assembly and when I checked with the parts department I was told the O.E.M. fuel pump was $230.00 plus tax. I thought for $70 more to replace the whole assembly was worth it since my car had 127,000 miles. My friend who is a mechanic agreed. When the part came in I went to pick it up I was told it was $344.00 plus tax for the Fuel Pump Module Assembly. They honored the service managers price of $300.00 plus tax. The part number through the dealership is 31110-38260. Now this is for Optima's Built to 09/01/2004. My car was built 05/03. Optima's Built from 09/02/2004 require a different part number. You can either look inside the drivers door for the build date or give the last 8 digits of the VIN number to the dealership and they can tell you when it was made. You can also just look at the top of the Fuel Pump Module Assembly located right behind the rear seat folded down under the carpet. If it has 2 electrical connections it takes the Fuel Pump Module Assembly Built to 09/01/2004. If it has only 1 electrical connection it takes the Fuel Pump Module Assembly Built from 09/02/2004. If you choose to go with Auto Zone they carry both Airtex Master/Fuel Pump For your 2004 Kia Optima 2.4L MFI DOHC 4cyl Price: $233.99. Remember mine already had an Auto Zone fuel pump which quit working on me and when I replaced it with another Auto Zone fuel pump it didn't help. Now possibly my fuel pump was fine and replacing the whole Fuel Pump Module Assembly worked because there was something wrong with the fuel pump sending unit. Neither the dealership or Auto Zone sell the fuel pump sending unit by itself. If you choose to go with Auto Zone here is the link for the parts. Keep in mind this is for my zip code here in Tennessee. Your price may be different in your area. These prices were as of 9/18/2011. I hope this helps you out. I am always getting advice from this site I figured it was time to give back. The first 2 picture are for cars Built From 09/2/2004 the last 2 pictures are for cars Built To 09/1/2004 http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/2004-Kia-Optima/Fuel-Pump/_/N-jlojxZ8vcz2 thetaz00_2.jpgthetaz00_1.jpgthetaz00_0.jpgthetaz00.jpg

Oxygen Sensors out on Pontiac Grand Am 2003 V6

Your car is equipped with a diagnostic system called OBD II. You can purchase a code reader and use it to find which O2 sensor is causing the problem. You probably have 4 sensors. 2 in front of the converter and 2 behind. The code reader will indicate something like "SEN 1 BANK 1." This means O2 sensor in front of the cat. on the side of the engine that contains cylinder 1. You may see "SEN 2 BANK 1" "SEN 1 BANCK 2" "SEN 2 BANK 2" Bank 2 indicates oppisite side of No.1 cylinder. Hope this helps

O2 Sensors

Autozone oxygen sensors do not function properly in Toyota vehicles. Just had a Tacoma yesterday with the same issue. New sensors, runs poor, check engine light on. Toyota sensors fixed it right now.

1996 Ford Explorer won't turn over.

fuel pump will not prevent engine from turnning over. the click you are hearing is the starter silinoid. you have one or more of the following: dead battery corroded battery terminals bad silinoid (or connections at silinoid) bad connections at starter bad starter. if all connections are tight and clean then get some one to turn key to the start position and you check with a test light or volt meter to see if there is 12 volts at the terminals on the silinoid if yes then check the terminal at starter. if all connections are clean what ever piece the voltage stops at is your problem if it goes all the way to the starter but starter will not turn then you need a starter.
Be careful when checking any and all of this dont get any thing you want to keep close to the parts of vehicle that move when running
