The Power Steering cannot only go out when in Reverse. You must have a Problem with it going both Ways. Do some driving and a Lot of turning. Listen for a Whine or Clicking from the Power Steering Pump.

What is the part under the air filter? It looks like it may be leaking, what could this be and how bad is it if it is leaking? It looks like it does have some metal tubing coming out of it as well but it...

Sounds like the steering box or powersteering box if anything. I have never heard of any such things being mounted under the airfilter. Very strange to me...

It could be part of the AC system as well.

Is the leak fluid black, white, or any color? What is the texture, the smell? Does it smell burned?

let me know please as I can further assist you.

Thank you,

make sure your coolant resevoir is full. this is a common sound. it is coolant being pumped through the heater core inside the vehicle.

Wooshing sound when a/c on and accelerating

would really need to hear it ,sorry .But i think your AC needs recharging ,approx 700grms of R134 .Can only be done properly by a certified mechanic with the right machine to empty, refill oil,and recharge the right amount in weight of gas

Normally when you hear a pop noise thats a fuse giving up heh. If you lost all lighting control i belive you popped the 50amp fuse located within the engine bay in fuse box located above the battery.
