Question about 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee
There is no such thing persay as a hidden warranty, having repairs done when the warranty has run out is done on a case by case basis and is is dependent on what system is defective, for instance a blown engine or trans is a good candidate for out of warranty repair if the car or truck has less than 100,000 miles and you have maintenance records to prove u properly cared for the car/truck, bypass the dealer and go direct to the factory customer assistance number in your owners manual, you can also find it on the web, be nice but be firm, request a factory field service engineer come out to evaluate the car/truck's issue, if u have to have it towed to the dealer for this to happen do it, but once again be nice, these repairs are referred to by the factory as GOODWILL REPAIRS. My source for this info, 30 years of new car dealer technician time, dealt with this issue directly dozens of times.
