Depends on where it is leaking. Trace the path of a leak up and forward from where you see the oil. It helps it you start with a clean engine/transmission - easily done at a do-it-yourself car wash.

One of the few problems ive had with my cars (2 honda) is oil leaking. Im pretty sure taht it might b leaking from one of the seals on the engine is too old. U gotta take it tothe mechanic forthis to b changed, buts its not too expensive. If u havent had any of them replaced since u have ur car, i would recomment changing them all, each one is like 40-70 bucks, depending on were is located and the year/model of thecar.

Theres only 3 seals total, so it wont b too much.

Of course, it could b something else. I just had my distributor rebuilt because of a leak. cost 50 bucks, +20 for installation. B sure to check both..

Hi i have a 1994 dodge caravan it is leaking oil can this be fix im worry that we would have to save money for a van for my kids thanks

The Chrysler minivan products all had leaking problems. I have had 5 or 6 different Dodge or Plymouth minivans from 88 to 99. How bad is it. The most common thing is Valve cover leaks. Front and rear seals in the engine leak as well as the oil pan gasket. If its leaking a little bit at a time open the hood and look at the front and rear of the engine. Do you see grease and oil that has gone down the sides of the engine? Do you see a lot of grease on the engine with some clean streaks going through it. You may be able to see where its leaking from. If you know someone that knows what their doing have them change the leaky gasket/s. If not you can probably have it repaired for less than buying another van unless other things are seriously wrong with the van.
Hope this helps... Dale

Hi, A car leaking oil will never result in the engine not starting, unless the engine has already seized. Before any corrective action can be taken, you need to determine where the oil leak is originating from. Depending upon several factors, this could be easy or it could be hard. One suggestion, do not use any of those quick fix oil additives to "fix your leak." The projected cost to fix your leak, will depend upon where your leak is. Good Luck!

Lots of oil leaking under the Jeep. Down to no oil right now. Rainbow trail, etc. Want to know worst case scenario...ballpark cost to fix, etc.

Could be a simple fix. Have you found where the oil is leaking from? I had a 93 Grand Cherokee that was leaking oil badly and I found it to be the oil pressure switch that was leaking all that oil. It only cost a few dollars to fix. Check exactly what is leaking first to determine what it will cost.

How bad does it leak? Most cars eventually leak some. Adding oil now and then is cheaper than fixing a leak if its not too bad.
