SOURCE: loosing power intermittenty then picks up as if fuel starvation.

Hello
The engine and automatic transmission in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM (Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM

I have a 7k efi engine the problem is its develops high revs the fuel consumption its now higher

To find out why the engine is revving higher you will need to attach a diagnostic computer to the engine to find out if one or more of the sensors is faulty that control fuel management
Throttle position sensor ,air temp sensor, lamda sensor (exhaust gas ) and also the ECU (engine control unit) collects the sensor info and decides how long to open the injectors for the given fuel map there is also the airflow , crankshaft, camshaft sensors

Hi i have a 1997 transporter t4 2.5 petrol my problem is it starts but only runs for about 5 mins then stalls I have replaced fuel filter, pump, relay, coil is there anything else I can do thanks Rob

Have a technichian look at it . Maybe something to do with your ecu or lamda sensors and the input to the ecu? A Wolkswagen guy should be able to diagnose this and save you time nad money.
Good Luck

Why does my Honda Accord acts like its runing out of fuel while driving after having a new fuel pump replaced?

Did they properly 'bleed' the fuel lines after fitting the pump??? Also, was the inlet filter on the pump also either changed or cleaned - and re-fitted properly??? If there is air in the system, that can upset some of the sensors which feed the engine ECU.

Should I reset my ecu when I change the o2 sensor for a 94 del sol d16z6?

I believe if you are just changing it may not need to reset the ecu. but if you have a code and it is a faulty 02 sensor then you need to change the sensor and erase the code by disconnecting the ground cable of the battery for some time (I have heard from 10 sec to 2 min).

Check engine

sounds a bit like a lamda sensor but im not sure if the accord had a cat fitted in that year .the distributor only puts out the spark to the engine so dont know why they have come up with that one if it is getting intermittent spark it would be missing like mad it may have an electrical fault and that is what the ecu has picked up on hope i have helped you

I have a 1997 Jaguar XJ6 Very high emmissions?

I have an X300 and had very high emmissions at an MOT. Diagnosed by Jaguar as the Lamda (02) sensors. Bought alternatives as Jag wanted a fortune and had them fitted by the Jaguar Main Dealer. Took it for MOT and it still had the same emmissions! MOT chap swapped the leads of the two Lambda sensors over and it was perfect! Still don't know if was the problem or the sensors were faulty.
So check if either the Lamda sensors are faulty or they are plugged in the wrong way. Try swapping the leads first as it is much cheaper!
