code p 1751 refers to AT-shift solenoid 1--open circuit ===causes wiring ---shift solenoid
if you have an automatic and there are shifting problems check it out --replace shift solenoid 1
the shifter lever dont move
or the car dont move.
lots of parts HANDS to tires.
how about reverse.?
car wont move, i guess.
check all fuse first.
then check ATF levels, not guessing, use the operators guide instructions to the letter !
if that checks out. then SCAN it,
connect any SCAN tool to the OBD2 16pin connector at dash
and SCAN it.
bingo for DTC tranny codes, P07xx? or ??????????????
that is a start.
Im assuming you mean that the vehicle wont move when put it in gear and its an automatic! Check the transmission fluid level if it is ok check if vehicle will move in any other gear reverse 1 or L etc. If not it maybe a torque converter issue and maybe best for a transmission shop to sort
P 1751 Shift Solenoid" A" performance. The solenoid is part of the transmission valve body and yes if this solenoid fails you will get limp mode. The only solution is a new solenoid may be even the wires to it or even the transmission module
if you can shift gears with car off might be the clutch or slave cylinder. If you can start the car in gear, clutch pushed in and doesnt try take off probally not slave cylinder. But if it tries to take off, slave cylinder. Now if it doesnt try to take off, ease clutch out. Does it move or just rev up? If it revs up likely the tranny. But if it moves can you shift thru all gears,if so clutch is shot.
