SOURCE: how do you replace the heater core on a 1998 S10

I am a GM Certified Auto Service Technician. You need to loosen steering column, take apart all dash components, pull back complete dash then you have to sneak core out and then in new one. Tough job. Have done twice. Hated it both times.

1996 chevy s10 pickup blows hot air all the time. even with everything turned off.

In my case (1995 S10) it was as simple as the temperature control potentiometer. The pot contacts were crushed, God knows what breaks and shorts happened there. Replaced the pot and all works like a charm. 3ffe43e2-1688-4bb5-ad86-58f1c719150e.jpg

Steam coming out oe heater vent

Sometimes on really hot and humid days, the AC will make a steam like vapor out of your vents and/or defrosters, but most often this is caused by a heater core leak.
