Why is the pcm fuse blowing in 2006 gmc yukon replace fuse car starts but shuts off in a few seconds and blows the fuse

Click on the link.
The only pcm fuse I saw was pcmB fuse. It supplies voltage for both the pcm and fuel pump. Usually you suspect the fuel pump first. Can I guarantee the fuel pump is the problem, no.

ASD FUSE BLOWS, BUT ONLY WHEN DRIVING. Jeep WILL IDLE ALL DAY WITHOUT IT BLOWING.

which engine? 4.0L? which trans, stick or a/t?
can you show the location of the fuse exactly.
each fuse has number and the schematics show only the F number.
is the fuse in the front PDC box, under hood>?
PDC fuse F9 blows, 30amp fuse???? no lower.

need exact fuse to wax smart, i do not have the oper guide that shows, names.
1: wires to it or to PCM shorted that line.
2:PCM bad.
3: OR SOME THING CONNECTted to PCM is shorted.
finding intermittent can be hard, i use, tools that allow me monitor those lines, an ammeter (clamps on wires) id check for wire damage first.
things that can overload the PCM are:
the Alternator Field source pin,
the ISC motor.
both 0xy sensors the heater can not be shorted.
the speed control servo,
in all cases wires too not shorted.
its not the injectors it has its own fuse f28
all comments usa car and guess 4L
now my wild guess, the 02 wires are melted and touching hot exhaust, seen vast times.

fuel pump is bad, your relay will be also from trying to start pump.there is an outside chance your relay is bad, easier to change that first

Blown fuse pcm

It is possible that the fuel relay is faulty and causing excessive current through the pcm fuse which is blowing because of the excessive current draw to the relay.

97 ford f-150 PCM power fuse keeps blowing,

that could be a tricky situation because you don't know if it's the pcm itself or a circuit that it controls. first you must know whether or not it is a short in the power or ground supplies to the pcm, then if that is all ok, you have to disconnect all sensors, injectors, etc, everything that it controls and see if it blows a fuse. if it doesn't, then you have to hook them back up one by one and see which one will blow the fuse.

2000 Saturn blowing pcm fuse

There are two PCM 10amp fuses that power the computer. The computer provides grounds to some 20 or 30 different circuits. Any one of those circuits could blow one or both of the 10amp fuses.
I would probably unplug the PCM and see if the fuses still blow. If not, you will need to pin test each circuit from the PCM to find the short. And you'll need a shop manual to get the wiring diagrams for those circuits.

Blowes the pcm fuse when key turn on

Hi, if you have the 4-cylinder, only the PCM and the ignition is on this fuse. If you have the V-6, the camshaft and crankshaft sensors are also on it. What I recommend is to disconnect everything on the fuse except the PCM, and then turn the key on. If the fuse blows, you know your PCM is shorted. If it doesn't blow, reconnect the ignition module and turn the key on again. If the fuse blows, you know the ignition is bad. If not, plug in the sensors one at a time to see which one is shorted. The location of the sensors are shown below, but there are 2 possible locations for the crankshaft sensor. The ignition module is under the coil pack. Please let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

2003 trailblazer keeps blowing pcm fuse. wont start, key stuck in on position.

YOU HAVE MANY THINGS THAT CAN BLOW THE PCM FUSE.STARTER RELAY,ALTERNATOR, PARK NEUTRAL SAFETY SWITCH, FUEL PUMP, AND THE PCM CAN BE SHORTING OUT.

Veh wont start

by looking at the wiring diagram for your truck. the pcm1 fuse only feeds the pcm so most likely it is a grounded wire between the fuse block and pcm. follow the wire harness closely between the two and see if its grounded somewhere. also try disconnecting the pcm and see if the fuse still blows. that would isolate the problem to the wiring. it is highly unlikely that the pcm would cause the problem.
