There is no fuel pump reset button on the 1992 Maxima. Check your fuel pump fuse under the dash. If it's not blown, check for current at the fuel pump connections. If you have current at the pump, then you probably have a bad fuel pump.
The inertia switch has tripped I am not positive where the reset switch is, look behind the carpet just above where the passenger's feet rest. Call the dealer's service dept. to ask where it may be located.
there is a fuel pump turn off switch installed on ford. when you lost the tread this was activated. the location will be noted in your owners manual if you have one. usually installed in the rear (trunk area) or front of car drivers side near fuse panel, or passenger side it is a little red button, all you have to do is push it in to reset the switch.
Your fuel pump may be starting to go. The inertia swtich is just in case the truck gets hit. It shuts off the fuel flow. Could aslo be the fuel pump relay or computer power relay. I would check for fault codes stored in the computer. An auto store may scan for free.
can be in about three different locations under the hood or inthe boot behind one of the panels or in the driver or passenger footwell behind the panels should have a picture of an engine at its location.
