How often do i get a tune up for a 2001 grand prix

I don't know when i need to get a tune up. i Have had it for a year

The best time for a tune up is at about every 80k-100k miles, but this is not nesicary if you haven't had a drop in gas mileage or haven't noticed a misfire. this type of tune up includes a regular service at a shop (not a jiffy lube kinda thing, a real repair shop) and also includes a set of plugs, wires, air filter, fuel filter, and performance inspection.

Not knowing specifics about engine ..if it were me plugs wires cap & rotor ..air filter & oil change I do oil every 7k w. synthetic oil..

It should be located on the underside of your hood, but alot of times they have disappeared.

Could be you just need a to get a PCM firmware update! I did and it solved this issue I had for years!

Tune up


Well their is the basic tune up consisting of just spark plugs. Then their is the whole tune up package which is plugs,wires,and distributor.
