Question about 1991 Geo Metro
Recently purchased 1991 Metro 1 Liter Manual transmission, 200000 miles. Always starts cold. When hot it sometimes does not always start- engine and starter do not turn. Acts like the starter solenoid engages as there is a large power drain (voltage drop -heater fan slows down), I hear some kind of noise but not really the "click" of a solenoid that I am used to. I bought the car from my neighbor who had this trouble and he always pumped the clutch several times and it always started, which seems to work but does not make any sense as to why it would. Is this a starter or a starter solenoid problem or some other strange Metro problem? jeb
We have been experiancing about the same problem. Believe it is a fuse link in line somewhere?( Like to know where it is at that's for sure!) any help out there on it's location?
