SOURCE: How long can you drive on a space saver tire

It is typically recommended that you drive no more than 50 miles or so, but that just had to do w/ the tire. If the tire is the same diameter as the rest of them, there will be no issues.

You probably have blown drive hubs. Do you have to engage the hubs at the wheels? If not and they are automatic locking and they are probably blown or seized into the unlock position. They are not too expensive to replace with manual locking hubs (My Suggestion) but the autolocking hubs are expensive. When you take the caps off the front drive spindles and try running it again you may see the axle turning inside but not the wheel. That is the best test. Wish you luck!!

Not sure if this year was a sealed hub like newer ones bt the process is the same. You need to take off the brake caliper, take off the caliber mount to the axle, then the rotor should come off. May be able to remove the stud now but if not, will probably have to remove the hub. It is bolted on to the axle with 4 bolts usually. Need to pop the cap off of the outside of the hub to access the nut holding the front axle shaft to the hub. It is splined shaft that is not pressed on. By tapping the end (lightly on the threaded end) and pulling out the hub will usually release it. Good luck!

How to replace front lug stud nut on a 2006

jack up car ,remove front wheel ,brake caliper, and rotor, so now you have just studs and backing plate ,with a hammer and punch , drive out broken stud and go to your local parts store with broken part an and lug nut for that wheel, this is the hard part put new stud in hole that you punched the broken one out of and drive it in with a hammer or if you have a stud driver ,as far as it will go ,don't worry if you cant seat it all the way ,when you reassemble everything back on when you tighten lug nuts it will seat it the remander of the way ,BE SURE TO RETORQUE IT AFTER A SHORT DRIVR 20-30 MILES AND RE CHECK IT AT DIFFERNT INTERVlLES to make sure it's seated and tight. ok that's it in a nut shell ,hope this gets it done for you .good luck .

How to replace a broken lug nut stud for oldsmoblie alero

If you look at a new wheel stud you will see it is slotted or ribbed. The ribs hold the stud in the hole. Normally you can drive the stud out the back and then put the new stud in by using the lug nut to pull it into the hole once you get it started.

How to replace front broken wheel stud on a '02 jeep grand limited 4x4...steps involve to replace the bolt with a new one? thanks!

Remove wheel, brake caliper and rotor. Give the broken lug a good shot with a decent weight hammer and drive it out of the hub flange. Put new stud into hole, place a stack of washers on it and place the lug nut on backwards (flat side in)
Use oil on the threads to prevent binding, tighten lug 'till stud is seated, replace everything you removed.

Have broken studs on the front passenger side and need to know how to replace.

I assume that you are referring to the wheel studs and if so you will have to remove the wheel, the brake caliper, the brake caliper stand and the brake rotor. Drive the old stud out with a hammer. Make sure you purchase new lug nuts with the studs. If they are the acorn style, buy one that is not to help with installation. Slide the new stud in the hole from the rear of the flange, install some washers for clearance of the stud shoulder. Install the non acorn style lug nut on the stud backwards. Using a impact gun, pull the stud through. Remove the backwards lug nut and washers.

Broken stud on left front wheel

Remove: wheel, brake caliper & rotor. Drive out the remaining stub with a hammer and punch. Insert a new stud and pull it into place by tightening the lug nut. Before running out of threads, remove the nut, insert a stack of washers or a large nut which slips over the threads without contacting them, tighten the lug nut to seat the stud.
