Check for power and ground directly at the cooling fan connector (the red and black wires). You can either jumper across the relay or with the key on, disconnect the coolant temperature sensor (2 wire connector near the thermostat housing, usually yellow and black). This should override the computer and energize the fans. If you have good power and ground at the fan connector, then the fan motor is no good. If you don't have power and ground there, it's a wiring issue from the relay, the relay itself, or no power to the cooling fan circuit (fuse).

Tail lights, turn signals, and brake lights are not working on my 87 chevy caprice classic. Bulbs and fuses are good. Thinking it may be the ground wire but need to know where that wire is located...

Look Under the Trunk Matting At Driver side Look For the MAIN GROUND on the Rear Lights Harness, The GROUND WIRE IS EITHER Broken or Has a VERY POOR Connection , You May need to Replace the Connector ITSELF and NO Matter What you Find RELOCATE THE GROUND CoNNECTER HOLD DOWN BOLT to a Spot that YOU Preparer With GRINDING the Mating Surface where the Bole & GROUND WIRES Will Mount. Also Do NOT RULE OUT the JUNCTION PLUG In the SAME AREA Of the Harness Be DURE of >>CLEAN<< I am About 99% Sure of these Being your Problem,Given The Fact that I Have Seen this Literally Hundreds of times
Good Luck With it !

How do i take the starter off and put it back on 4 a 91 chevy caprice classic

I answered your other add on this and realized I didn't tell you how to put the new starter. It is easy just slid the pointed end into the bellhousing and then start all the bolts and tighten then up evenly. Then reconnect the wires and install the nuts.

I have a 1994 Chevy Caprice LS and the fan motor does not work. How do I repair?

First you need to let the engine run until it gets past operating temperature. With the fan blower harness unplugged use a multimeter and probe the harness on the red wire. You should have 12 volts,The other wire should have negative ground. If the voltage checks out ok then you have a faulty fan motor,If not then you have a electrical issue.
