No, its the intake manifold gasket.  This is a very common problem with the SL/SL1 engine.  There are only three bolts around the #1 cylinder and no bridge in the block between #1 and #2 cylinders.  The flexible factory gasket tends to pull out in this area.
A confirmation of this is to spray some carburetor cleaner, fuel injector cleaner or even WD40 on the gasket around the #1 cylinder and if it affects the idle in any way, its because its leaking.
Felpro makes a good replacement gasket.

I'm assuming you have the 4.2l v6. If this is the case, there are two intake runners per cylinder, one long (torque) one short (horsepower), default setting for these would be long runners or closed. 
There is a valve so to speak inside the intake manifold operated by a motor that switches to the short runners when the RPM"s reach a preset point. However there has been a problem with this design, not only with the 4.2's, but the 2.5's and 3.8's and every other motor that uses this design. 
The motors go bad, or the valve gets carboned up and no longer moves. If you have a 4.2 start there, if not I'm not sure what is wrong.

So, Jena, you start with the cheapest possible solutions. Go to YouTube and look up how to detect a vacuum leak. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9CPqbaSgcok Buy a can of throttle body cleaner and get one of the auto store people to show you how to get to the throttle body (basically you use a screwdriver and take off the huge air hose). Then clean the throttle body. If you don't get rid of the problem, watch the YouTube video on how to clean the EGR Valve. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TB1E9opb87Y While you are at the auto parts store, you will probably want to buy an PCV valve. This may solve your problem even without a mechanic! :)

My monte carlo has code p0507 what is it and how can i fix it


possible causes
- Dirty throttle body
- Electric throttle control actuator misadjusted or damaged
- Faulty Electric throttle control actuator
- Intake air leak
- Poor electrical connection to the Intake Air Control (IAC) valve
solution !!!
If there are no intake leaks, clean throttle body, adjust engine idle and erase engine code. If the code comes back you may have to replaced the Electric Throttle Control Actuator (Motor) to repair the problem.

What does the coe p0507 mean caddy deville 2001


Idle Air Control System RPM Higher than expected. The computer is detecting an idle speed higher than what it should be. A vacuum leak perhaps...EGR valve, faulty PCV valve, throttle body, EVAP system, idle air controller or circuit. Check for vacuum leaks.
