Sprinter won't turn over after off for ten secs. Then will start after appx 10 mins. It's an 06 diesel freight liner. Noticed this always happens exactly after a relay click?

Won't turn over when hot. Always after start relay clicks.

@ the dealership now... I replaced the battery, replaced the start relay, replaced the fuel filter and have checked all the fuses. Also noticed that after the start relay click, I lose my temp readout on the dash until the 15 min shut down is over... I don't think this guy who's looking at it now has any clue what it is.... Will check back with results, stay tuned

Ok. So no new news! What Ido know is that while in this mode there's no power to the ECM. And only after the 15 mins does it power back up. The guy from the dealership believes its something in fuse block 1(IE a loose or damaged conductor) I'm not a auto tech, but I'm inclined to think its a sensor or board due to the fact that its always the same symptoms without exception. > always turns over fine cold. Always locks out after relay click appx 10 secs after shut down. Always restarts prior to relay click 9 or less seconds after turning off. Never starts after relay click unless engine is not hot( five mins or less run time)... Idles anyone have access to sprinter service bulletins?

This is a bad motor ground cable. I call it the 1 click no start.
test by jumper cable on motor and other end to battery ground post.

Have you checked to see if all of the fuses are good? That could be the cause for the radio and the tripometer not working.

SOURCE: my darango won't start, replaced

this could be as simple as a bad battery have you tryed to jump start it? if you try and that dosent work make sure you have power going to the starter with jumper cables on the battery. it should at the very least make a clicking sound while trying to start it check the battery posts also make sure they are clean and if it does click give it a minute and try starting it again.[ dont take the cables off the battery while waiting] the fact the starter doesent even click when you try to start it tells me no power to it or bad starter remember just because its new dosent mean it works i cant tell you how many times i have put somethig on a car and had to take it back off because it didnt work from the boxx new. and make sure the starter wires are tight and clean. if no clicking and you have power to starter then starter is bad.. i hope this helps..

sounds like a flat battery but it could be a wire off the starter motor solonoid even a immobilisor problem but the most obvious is a flat battery try charging it up for a day then try it before you go any further

1999 vw jetta turns off after 10 min of driving

It would be worth checking/replacing the ignition module ( see if you have a spark when it WON'T start) . Coil assy are plentiful and the most likely given your description. Very prone to over heating and shutting down. Good luck
