Where is the fuel pump fuse on 20002 expedition

I have replaced the fuel pump relay a week ago. Now it's doing the same thing it did before I replaced the relay. It cranks fine but won't start. Someone suggested checking the fuel pump fuse

SOURCE: Car will turn over but won't start. Through the

No noise from fuel pump when you turn over the car .First thing get voltage at fuel pump relay checked, is there 12 volt to the relay. If no, then problem is again the relay.--------- To reconfirm the problem, try other test, that is remove the relay and by pass the relay terminals with a jumper wire .Then with 12 volt external battery give power to fuel pump connector and see, if the fuel pump starts, then its clear that fuel pump relay is faulty.----------- Also other problem can be fuel pump inertia switch. If the inertia switch is faulty then also fuel pump will not start.-------- The fuel pump relay on a 1995 Ford Explorer is in the power distribution
box, in the engine compartment, driver's side near the firewall.----------
The fuel pump inertia switch is in the right front passenger area
it is below the dash but above the carpet in the right hand corner.--------
Its a push button type inertia switch.
Fuel Pump Activation
When ignition switch is turned to START position, PCM operates fuel pump relay to provide fuel for starting engine. PCM senses engine speed and shuts off fuel pump by opening ground circuit to fuel pump relay when engine stops or engine speed drops to less than 120 RPM. When ignition switch is in ON position, EEC power relay is energized (contacts closed). Power is provided to fuel pump relay and timer in PCM. Fuel pump receives power through fuel pump relay contacts.
Inertia Fuel Shutoff (IFS) Switch
All models use an electrical interrupt switch in fuel system. During a collision or vehicle rollover, electrical contacts within inertia switch open, shutting off fuel supply to electric fuel pump. Fuel supply is interrupted even when engine is running.
A reset button is located on switch assembly. If electrical circuit trips, vehicle will not restart until switch is reset. Fuel system should be inspected before resetting switch.
IFS switch is located under instrument panel, near right side of transmission hump.
----------- If the fuel pump relay, the inertia switch and fuel pump all checked ok, and fuel pump is working with direct 12 volt source to fuel pump. Then problem relates to computer. The computer (power control module, PCM) is faulty and has to be replaced.--------- This will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Need a part number on a fuse for a fuel pump relay for 2007 EL Expedition

How many miles are on the ford expedition? It is fairly common for the fuel pump in the tank to go after 150-200,000 miles. It is an electric pump with brushes. Eventually the brushes get worn and don't contact the armature.

Have someone hit the tank at the bottom with a rubber mallet or etc while cranking the engine. If it starts, the pump is worn. This still doesn't rule out a bad pump if it don't start.

Easiest way to trace and troubleshoot a fuel pump problem is with

This website is for people and mechanics to use in getting the documentation for their vehicle and wiring diagrams, and location charts where stuff is. Subscription rates are 1 week=$11, 1 month=$24, 1yr=$34. I recommend the 1yr. They ask for upgrade after a week but you have to pay full price with no discount for the week.

Of course, you can use the 1 week rate to fix your problem as long as you can repair it in 1 week. Wiring diagrams and charts are downloadable and printable.

Car turns over but will not start

Only one thought

If you have no reference material such as a repair,
as well as diagnostic manuals, you have no way to
learn about the systems your attempting to diagnose

What happened two years ago, has nothing to do with
a fresh start on the current issues

You never replace any parts until you know what they do,
how to test them & they fail a test

I order to do that, you need a wiring diagram, otherwise your
on a Wish & Hope,Push & Poke strategy.

That is how 90% of all people work on cars
That worked in the 1950's thru 1970's,but no more

You say same thing but fail to explain

Do you have fuel pressure measured on a guage
attached to the engine?

Do you hear the fuel pump run when turning the key on ?

Did you put a scan tool on the car to look at data ?

Do you have spark ?

Does it start if you spray the intake ?

Do you have a check light on the dash

Did it just start or get progressively worse

Did it run okey on the road prior to no start

Do you have every wire connector in their
proper place. People like to disconnect things
to see what happens

Did you start by checking battery voltage, drop
test cables,etc

Why won't the fuel pump shut off

Fuel pump won't be the cause. Most likely the relay.

Where is fuel pump relay is location on Ford expedition 2001 4.6

It is located in the relay and Maxi fuse box under the hood near the battery, both the fuel pump fuse and relay are in this box, the fuel pump fuse is a 20Amp and is marked #10, the fuel pump relay is is marked as relay #301.

There is also a fuel pump cutoff switch (triggered by an accident exceeding 3 G's)

The fuel pump shut-off switch is

located in the passenger's foot well,
by the kick panel.

The gas pump was replace on my 1999 ford expedition but still is not working

There are a few things you can check. The first thing and most likely what the problem is would be the fuel cut off switch. Below is a picture of it the location of it. Where you see the blue arrow pointing down is where the button is that you push to reset it if it is "popped". If that is good the next thing you can check is the fuse for the fuel pump. That fuse is located in the power distribution box located in the engine compartment under the hood (picture of that location below as well) I also gave you a diagram of the layout of the fuses with numbers. The fuse for the fuel pump is the fuse located in the number 10 position and should be a 20 amp fuse. Last you may need to check the fuel pump relay. That relay is located in the same fuse panel and will be the one marked number 301. I hope this helps and good luck.
