I have a 2005 dodge grand carvan What do the codes p0700 and p0562 mean? and how do i fix it ?

P0700 is generic transmission code, transmission malfunction.. Have it read with a scanner to find the exact code. p0562 is battery voltage is low. Check positive and negative cables for corrosion and good connection. Also check the engine and body grounds. Make sure you have a engine to body strap/ground. They break. This could be the reason you're getting the p0700 code.

What does the code pe0700 on a 1998 grand caravan mean

Hi,
Prefix pe is not a valid OBD II code, however, P0700 = Automatic transmission fault detected.
That is a generic code and usually one or more codes will follow that at some point, but not nessesarily. Dodge Caravan transmissions are fully computer controlled and are plagued with problems. If you are experiencing transmission symptoms including poor shifting and even erratic speedometer readings, reply with your symptoms,we can lead you to the possible cause....Mike

Whaat does code P0700 mean

P0700 is a PCM trouble code that basicly says there is more trouble codes in the trans controller side of the PCM.
In order to find out what those codes are you will need a scan tool and then once you have the codes further diagnois can be done.
depending on what codes come out of the trans controler it could mean something simple like
a bad speed sensor or some kind of bad like a loss of prime. gear ratio error codes can be caused by faulty sensors.

Engine Light ON

Your P0700 code needs to be addressed right away. This signifies a problem with the solenoid pack, which is an external part that can be fixed for around $200 if you do it yourself, $300 if you take it somewhere. But a bad solenoid pack can mess up the whole tranny resulting in a total rebuild, which runs anywhere from $1200 to $2000 depending on where you go.
Your P1770 error is a Clutch Solenoid Circuit Malfunction.  Definitely sounds like you have a solenoid problem.  Let me know if you have any other questions.  Thanks for ranking my response and for using FixYa!
