2005 ford five hundred diagram of 1st and 2nd cylinder when they misfire

Was there a misfire code? Generally with a misfire, I want to check fuel--spark and compression on cylinder in question. If two adjacent cylinders have a misfire code, I'd check head gasket.

I have a 1999 Silverado 1500 2WD, it misfires @ 2nd and 3rd shift point until it reaches 210 degrees then the misfiring completely goes away. I have given it a complete tune up. Any ideas??

joking they all do/ really,! but yours is outside normal.

the OBD2 DTC codes clear, no P0300s at all, or the like?

cold misfire.
new spark plugs , using OEM type plugs and gapped to factory spec. not to Autozoned spec. they lie.

misfire can be many reasons
even a leaking EGR main valve.
1: low compression any cylinder. (compression gauge)
2: bad spark (look for OBD2 pending P030x)
3: bad fueling, (injector balance tests)

there are tests for each , all are simple.
injector clogged or leaking?

is the fuel old?
try techron fuel additive, (i hate additives) but this one is just
more benzine that is already in all chevron fuel. so is 100% safe.
run that, read bottle for rates.
the misfire is real, it can be found.
the first question, is it all 8 cylinders or just 1.
we can do a spark shunt test to find cylinders that are dead
during the misfire.

Car sputter, engine light stay on now its plinking a lot, code # are p0300,302,202

A P0300 diagnostic code indicates a random or multiple misfire, most likely cylinder number#2 (302). check the ignition system , to confirm it,check spark plug in 2nd cylinder , is it black in color as compare to other cylinders .if the spark plug look oily , may be 2nd cylinder piston Rings problem.its just general idea

98 passat # 2 missfire help

If your getting a P0302 ( cylinder #2 misfire detected), the first thing to check is the spark plug. If it's new then the next thing to check is the plug wire. If it has individual coils, then swap it out with another one and see if the misfire moves too. If so then the coil is faulty.

I have a 2002 TrailBlazer with the straight 6,diognostic check said #3 cylinder was dead or misfiring, also map sensor showed up. #3 cylinder was misfiring, so to test the coil pack I swapped #3 coil pack...

did you replace only one spark plug? that can cause issues because of differences in resistances between cylinders. also, did the map code stay off after replacing
?
