Question about 1998 Ford Expedition
My battery on 98 Ford Expedition doesn't hold charge, I've switched the battery out 2 times already & the alternator tested good. My running board lights & interior lights come on & off constantly so I have to pull the fuse. I removed my stock premium sound cassette stereo and replaced it with an after market car stereo. I have no sound from stock speakers so I have 2 other speakers hooked up to the after market stereo!!! If I arm my after market theft alarm and open any doors, lift gate, or back glass the alarm system does not come on. I am SO IRRITATED with this vehicle!! If it's not one thing it's another!!!
First thing I would do is have someone qualified disconnect the alarm and stereo and start over.
Chances are you have circuits cross-connected and something is draining the battery.

This is a very common problem with Fords. I have one that was doing this as well. What works for most people is pretty much what you have tried - spraying inside the latch all over with WD40 Until it's coming out the bottom of the door. If this fails to work, the switch probably needs replaced. The switch is located inside the door near the latch. It should be pretty easy to find once you have the door panel off. Look for the wires leading to it. A new switch is usually very inexpensive, but may have to be purchased through your local Ford dealer. If you're not comfortable taking the door panel off, a mechanic should be able to do this repair for you in less than an hour of shop time.

Unfortunately i wish it were easy to remove the alarm system, but then, so does every car thief in the world.you cannot remove the anti theft system in any car, contrary to whatever someone may say.the brain is embedded in the cars electronic management systems.but you can remove the fuse......
