Uninstall headlight & tail light assemblies for a 2008 eclipse GT

Hello,
I want to install new headlight and tail light assemblies for my 2008 Eclipse GT. I was told that you need to take off the bumpers to do this. Is this true? If not, then how do you do it?

Thanks,
ROb

2001 Eclipse Spyder GT Convertible replace head light bulb

I would recommend that you remove the headlight assembly/ It is a very simple procedure and will make replacing the bulb that much easier. There will be three mounting bolts on the top in plain sight, Its an import so your bolts are going to be metric 10 or 12mm I believe. After these are removed, there will be a clip still holding the headlight in, grip the front of the headlight and the back and give it a good tug up and it should come free. After the headlight has been removed then unplug the wire from the back of the headlight, you will see three prongs there will be a rubber gasket and a metal ring, you will need to remove the ring to be able to get the old bulb out. be careful as not to damge the rubber gasket or you will get water into your headlight. If you need any pics I can post them for you. Hope this works.

Replacing headlight assembly on 1999 mitsubishi eclipse

you don't have to remove the whole front end, some one is yanking your chain when you lift the hood there is three mounting bolts that attach the headlight assembly to the body remove those and then you are going to want to position your hands on the top and side of the headlight giving a gentle tug there is a clip on the bottom of the headlight that is what you are trying to break free good luck let me know what happens

Tail lamp

You have to access it through the trunk pop open the trunk and remove the plastic panel immediately behind where the light is It may also be carpeting.
then once you see the rear of the lights just twist and pull on the light assembly and it will come out for you to put in a new bulb.
