Question about Cars & Trucks
Have you checked all our fuses with a test light? Most of the time running lights and your cigarette Lighter are on the same fuse that would result in break lights working and running lights not. Check all fuses first. It will most likely be labeled as cigarette lighter or 12v acc or could be drl or just as tail lights

If you have replaced the switch, and it is still doing it it sounds like you definately have a short somewhere in your wiring. On the other hand if the dimmer is in the turn signal arm ( forward bright back dim ) the problem could also be there in the dimmer switch, such as a short being caused by that dimmer switch being faulty.Auto Zone and Discount Auto Parts both test a lot of your electrical problems for free, and/or may have some knowledge to more accurately pin point the problem. Not sure about Pep Boys or some of the other discount auto part chains.

SOURCE: Parking light malfunction
The remote starter is the culprit. Your vehicle has a body computer, and it is not programmed to understand the installation of a remote starter. More often than not, the remote starters cause very bizarre things to happen to the body computer. Best advice: Remove the remote starter before it causes permanent damage to the body computer. A BC replacment is over $1,200 dollars.
