Question about Cars & Trucks
Hey guys I have a honda crx transtop and I'm having a problem with the roof, I have found. Few solutions but none of them help. I switch the engine on and release both roof locks, only the drivers side makes the beep start. Even tho the red roof light comes on on the dash. Making sure roof switch ( middle ) is on close and hand break is on, I push open button. Nothing happens, but I hear a faint click coming from the boot. Boot works with the key perfectly, and so does roof tilter, I have pushed the tilter up and down manually, greased up all the parts, even took apart the mech itself and greased cogs and check them for broken teeth. I have also changed roof control box. I have tried countless times removing the 7.5 amp fuse for back up, 20 amp for ecu and the door lock fuse! If anyone can help me please, thanks :):) /:

SOURCE: MR2 DOOR LOCK
sounds like some one tried to break into your vehicle and jammed the door locking rod this would be the most likley guess since you said motor is still working the rod will need to be pulled out and straightened again to factory bend this is critical
and your switch is on the door panel the one that says lock unlock

SOURCE: no power in driver side door
I just fix the same problem :(
Two wires in harness were broke. Let me give you some instructions to fix this. 1- Remove the inside panel. then remove the conection that is in the middle betwen the door and the body of the car, is like black cover for the wires. In my case 2 of these wires were broke.
2- Remove the screws of the door in the frame then close the door and pull the door only a few inches just to have acces of your hand to pull the wires.
3- Add another piece of cable, to meke these cables longer, and put everything back.
