SOURCE: 2004 escalade ac problem
I had the same problem. Took it to an AC guy and they told me it was going to cost $1,400 to replace all kinds of parts. I didn't get it done right away because I went on vacation. When I got back from vacation the air blows cold. It hasn't gone back to blowing hot since.

Usually ther is a reservoir in the back. They are very good at hiding them: on top of the brake light assy...Is this info not in your owners manual?

you should check the fuse panel for a bad fuse you have two fuse panels check your manual for the location of the panels there is one for the instrument light
