Does a Mitsubishi legnum 2000 model have a drain plug on the fuel tank?

Most tanks have no drain plug due to safety regulations the only way is to remove the tank and drain it from the top

the truth is , you didnt post country, nor engine size.
they match engine power to transmission (load rating)

um my legnum had similar problem and it has a pressureised fuel line. you need to get it blowen out and repressureised.

On the drivers side under the vehicle. The sump drain is at th back side of the sump. It is a 17mm bolt. If u give it a wipe with a rag, you should see a copper or aluminium washer under the bolt.

The fuel pump is in the fuel tank on the top. have to take the tank down to get it out. One of the good things is there is a drain plug on the bottom of the tank. Thumbs up Mitsubishi

i would try and change the plugs and wires and that should help sounds like not burning all the fuel in the chambers and thats why smoke black try like a good spark plug not the cheap ones it will help to burn it all off and make it run better

If this just started, maybe after a hard run, you may want to check your sparkplugs. I've melted the insulator on one of my plugs after a prolonged, spirited run causing same symptoms.
