To change the brake light.....lower the tailgate. Find and remove the two phillips-head screws on the side of the box near the tailgate latch. With the screws out, the taillight assembly will hinge outward. Twist out the socket for the brake light...the rest is pretty obvious.

I've got a 1975 GMC Sierra C15. The tail lights and turn signals work just fine but the brake wont come on. Can anyone help me out? The tail lights turn signals and brakelights all work on one bulb.

Your brake pedal controls a switch that turns the brake lights on. If the switch or the wires from the switch are broken, no brake lights.

How do I replace the brake light switch on a 2001 gmc sierra

Follow the brake petal up to the brake rod. Unplug the switch wire then take the clip of the petal then the brake light switch should slide right off.

have you checked for a box under the hood on the drivers side, consisting of relays and fuses. i would check for a brake light relay switch, or brake light fuse, hope that this information has been helpful to you.

Need info on how to replace a brake lite switch on a 1997 GMC truck K2500/Sierra

The brakelight switch is behind the brake petal, its a easy job. just unplug old switch and plug in new one.(When you have old switch out make sure they are same length before you put new one in)

Brakelights are not working

check your fuses and if their ok check your bulbs it rare but seen then both go out before. If there ok the next thing would be that the brake pedal is not seperating the distance that it should from the switch being that you have new rotors and brakes.
