I just got my blue tooth ear phone to work with my laptop, sounds like you want blue tooth car to pickup on your phone speech and sound. You probably have to enable blue tooth on your phone and connect to the bluetooth receiver in the car. Probably be good if blue tooth receiver is on so phone sees the signal, that's the way mine worked, it showed that device, I clicked it to connect. Hope that helps.
obvious question , sorry , have you got the radio hand book to follow the set up procedure , sometimes the bluetooth will only accept a certain amount of connections and then needs to be reset , otherwise might be a question for I phone
hi. the manual is available form ebay, usually for under £5. i would advise you to check with your jaguar dealer first though, as quite a lot of s and x types (mine included) had the radio, and all the keys to suggest the blue tooth connection, but did not actually have the blue tooth connection unit fitted. your dealer will be able to tell you if your car actually had the unit fitted, or if the keypad that you can see fitted in your console is just there to fill up the space.
Hello fellow sufferer ........ You have joined an ever growing club of Jaguar owners who cannot connect any phone other than the one that Jaguar will supply - at large cost.
There does not seem to be an easy answer ... I took my car to a specialist and he could not get it to pair either so I bit the bullet went to the Jag dealer and ..... he couldn't do it !!!!!
I have bought a stand alone blue tooth unit that accepts my phone and my wife's phone and they all log on with no trouble every time I step in the car.
I gave up - but you may be more stubborn - good luck with your quest and please post the solution if you are successful
When I went to the Jaguar dealership the dealer (Farmingtonhills of Michigan Jaguar dealership)told me that only either 2005 or it was 2006 and better are the only autos with this function. I have a 2004 and I wanted to do the same thing. There might be another solution that I did not think of untill I left, asking them if it possible to install a bluetooth package. This might be possible, but for those of us that have a 2005 and lower model they did not come with this feature.
