Question about 1993 Honda Accord
I have replaced the fuel filter but it still stalls. It will restart after about 15 minutes but will stall again.
Mine did this, it was my distributor cap and rotor button all gummed up and needed to be replaced. All new parts plus install was 100 bucks, problem solved

the white smoke as it stalls could be steam in the exhaust. This is caused by coolant leaking into cylinders from a leaking head gasket. You should check cylinder compression next with a compression tester.

SOURCE: 98 Accord won't start
Check the main relay-PGM-FI Main Relay, called a fuel injector relay(a gray little box with a plug at the end). To make sure it is a bad relay, do this: Turn the key to II, listen for a humming sound from behind you. It is a fuel pump working. You should hear a click under the dash after it. It is a main relay click . If you do not hear a click, you car will not start. If you do hear a click, you car will start.
Fix is to take the relay out, resolder the joints and put it back in. Go on www. MarkLamond.co.uk and http://techauto.awardspace.com both sites will show you how to resolder the main relay and where it is located if it is the PGM-FI Main relay.

SOURCE: stalls or just wont start
i've had a bunch of hondas and usually when they dont start and then start after a while it is the main relay. as far as i know they dont make them aftermarket, you need to get them from the dealer. they cost about $85 last time i bought one. it is located on the interior, drivers side, to the left of the pedals. i think it has 7 pins and is mounted by one 10mm bolt. it seems they act up mostly on hot days. good luck!

Try pounding on the gas tank with a rubber mallet or similar tool. (careful not to dent the tank) Try starting it. If it runs, replace the fuel pump (it's nfg). I've diagnosed numerous fuel pumps this way. Remember the pump needs to be replaced, if you drive it, you don't know when it'll fail for good. Hope this helps. Please post the results.

SOURCE: My car stalls while driving
It never hurts to replace your fuel filter if you know it's been awhile but I think that the fuel system may not be the problem. Without a fault code it is very hard to narrow down what the problem could be. Possibly the ignition module acting up. Please update if you do have a fault code(engine light on)
