probably should ask petrol or diesel how ever ill go with petrol. if at all possible get some one to operate key while you get close to the fuel tank and listen for the fuel pump operating, another way to check is disconnect fuel return line and crank over engine being careful as if pump is working fuel will pump out possibally causing a fire hazard so once again only a quickflick of the key is needed , usually the pump can be heard operating if you go close enough to the tank. so I guess we will start there , is there fuel getting to the engine?
make sure there is gas in tank. turn ignition switch to the on position.listen for fuel pump.if yes check for spark at plugs.if no you dont hear fuel pump.check fuse and relay.if both dont work.scan it to check for faulty crankshaft sensor fuel pump and pcm.
check for fuel pump operation.have someone turn ignition on while you go to rear of car where fuel tank is to listen for fuel pump operation.if not.check fuse and relay.if you hear fuel pump .check ignition system to make sure engine is getting spark.
Check for spark. Also listen for the fuel pump to kick on or spray starting fluid in the throttle body to see if it starts. If the fuel pump isn't kicking on then its your fuel pump and its located in the tank
usually if you have power it may be a fuel problem, when you turn your key to the on position you should hear your fuel pump come on, if not it could be the fuel pump relay under the hood or a possible bad fuel pump or bad connection on the fuel pump. hope this helps.
