Question about 2002 Chevrolet Blazer

2002 blazer..would drive at 60mph for 10-15min

Then all the sudden, engine would slow down and stay at idle, press gas petal but engine would not reponse just stay at idle.. turn of engine, waited about 5 minutes, start again and would run for about 2-3min, then idle again.. anyone know what I can check..so far changed out fuel filter..

There is a screen in the fuel tank to prescreen the fuel. If this is clogged it will give a problem like this.
check it and replace if necessary.

1983 s10 blazer low rough idle and trys to die when starting have to give it a little gas and put it into drive real quick then when slowing down keep foot on gas pedal as i also slow down with break pedal


Could be several things, a vac leak, dirty throttle body, or faulty idle air control valve.
The computer controls idle speed by how much air enters the throttle body thru the valve.
Usually a vac leak would speed up the engine unless it is causing the rough idle.

do you change oil at recommended intervals when the engine runs at higher RPM's it's normal for oil pressure to increase while driving

2002 chrysler concorde lx low idle


with a 2002 Concord 3.5 V-6, what should the rpm be at 60mph? 70 mph?

I'm not sure if the overdrive gear is lost in the tranny, but the transmission light is on.

Accelerator problem


the problem was not before but is after engine work
suggests harness connection , pinched wires to the inlet manifold
problem throttle control sensor or possible an ECM corruption
try using a scan tool to reset the ECm
