Question about 1996 Nissan Sentra
I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse with 112,000 miles on it. I was having a problem with the brake light and battery light blinking on occasionally, and the car ended up stopping dead. I took it to a mechanic, and it turned out to be the alternator. He replaced that and the battery. This was a couple of days ago. I haven't had a problem with those lights blinking on, and it seemed to be running fine. Last night, I pulled into the driveway and put the car into park. After I parked it, the engine stopped, and the check battery light came back on. I tried re-starting it, and it started up just fine.
Take it back the mechanic and tell him what you indicated here. He will have a problem determining the problem if he can not duplicate it, but it will put him on notice that something is not right. Done properly, he will take a greater interest in helping to find the problem, which may have nothing to do with the work performed so far.
