Question about 1998 Buick Riviera
How do i get to the headlight bulb to change them?
I had this happen to me. It does come out just like the owners manual says but what it doesn't tell you is how hard it is for the assembly to come out. I thought I was going to brake it before it popped out, but I was so mad I didn't care anymore. I had dirt and grime binding in the assembly. Once I had it out I cleaned it up and it went back into place with out any problems.

i believe that plastic plate is a clip that holds the socket in... try sliding it sideways to remove it... careful not to drop it...

You will have to remove the headlight assembly to whichever side is burneed out. It is a halogen bulb that gets replaced not the entire assembly. Careful not to touch the new bulb with your fingers as this will cause premature failure of the bulb.

SOURCE: change headlight bulb
I'm not familiar with model but basically behind the headlight the bulb comes out it may turn like a quarter turn and pull, where the wire plugs on that part it plugs to comes out. if still in doubt go to a auto parts store such as napa or advance auto and they should be able to help you. usually if you buy it there they will install it if it isn't time consuming and busy
