My 1998 Toyota Siena wont stay running. I turn the key it starts up then it dies.

it is most likely the idle control valve and this is a common make sure that this is the problem you can take a long extension or anything long enough and small enough to reach the valve.......the valve is located on the bottom side of the throttle body and it has a electrical connector going to it and a vac hose and 2 small coolant hoses going to it..........if you do not know where the throttle body is then follow the big black hose coming off of the air filter box to where it slips onto the throttle body and you will have to look up under the throttle body and you will see the idle control is kinda hard to see and get to but you can get to it to tap on can tap on it before you try to start it or have someone starting it while you tap on it...........if this makes it idle again then you can take the big black hose off and clean the throttle body and open the flap up and on the bottom of the throttle body there is a hole that goes to the idle control valve that you can spray carb clean in or throttle body clean in and you might have to do this a couple of times..........if it keeps doing this you can take the throttle body off and then take the idle control valve off and clean it or just replace it.....i hope that i was able to help you and let me know if i can help you in any other way....let me and fixya know if i was any help to you at all and a thumbs up and a comment would be appreciated.....thanks and good luck.......have a blessed day......

I cant locate the egr valve on a 1998 Dodge ram 1500 5.2 L

An EGR valve assembly located at the front of the intake manifold. The EGR valve is a poppet style valve (on/off only) and is controlled by an internal diaphragm.
