Heater blower no working

Have you checked the fuses. Check with test light power to the wiring socket at the heater fan with it switched on. If no power it can be the switch or the resistor or the relay. If there is power there the heater fan motor may need replacing. You need to check the earth wires. Make sure they are clean and tight

Did you check the hvac 10 amp fuse? There is a 30 amp fuse for high and a 10 amp for the lower speeds. There is also a blower motor control module.

The heater fan only works on the highest setting, none of the lower settings work. I already checked the switch and that was not the problem. Any ideas ?

Hello Jstorm.

When this problem occurs the blower motor resistor has gone open circuit.
The reason it works on high is because on high setting it uses full battery voltage and bypasses the resistor.
The resistor or module(depends on whether you have manual or auto temp control) is mounted below the blower motor on the heater case.
You may need to remove the hush panel just above where the passengers feet would be to get to it.
These are relatively easy to replace.
You will need to tell your part supplier whether it is auto or manual temperature control as the resistors are different for each.
Happy New Year.

My heater works but wont blow out any vents. replaced blower motor

Under your hood, passenger side bolted right in the middle of your air conditioning unit is a lone relay screwed in with 2 screws. That was the reason my 92 Blazer wouldn't blow 99% of the time. Knew it wasn't likely the motor since mine worked sometimes, and motors usual are just good or bad. The low/med/high fan speed switch has a resistor in it that can also go bad, I changed that 1st, no change, swapped out that $6 relay and now I have a fan again :) Those are really the only 2 things causing your problem unless your wiring is a wreck or something unusual. Bonus: relay's a 5 min fix taking your time.

Removal of heater fan switch on dash.

Chances are it is in fact not the switch. These systems are wired so that at high speed setting battery power is connected directly to the fan. However lower settings switches through a set of resistors. These are mounted on a circuit board which in your case is mounted on the firewall on the passenger side of the vehicle under the wiper. Check this before you turn the control panel into a heap of spares on the garage floor.

Heater blower works on high but not on any lower setting

There is a resistor that is used for the lower fan speeds; these resistors burn out, and have to be replaced. Go to autozone.com and register (its free) you will then be able to access the repair guide and locate the resistor

2000 cherokee sport blower motor control

It is a bad blower motor resistor and it is mounted on the bottom of the A/C heater housing on the passenger side of the vehicle under the glovebox area. Hope this helps. Please rate this a fixya if it helps. Thanks.
