Question about 1999 Kia Sportage

The dashboard lights still going off and on. Once they worked properly for about a month, then went back to going off and on. There's nothing more to add than what I've already described.

SOURCE: I've 2000 Mercedes Benz ML 320.One night I backed up & parked in the Garage the next morning it won't go forward. I noticed the that REAR WHEEL on passenger side was locked up. What's

The only suggestion is to place the vehicle on
stands & remove the wheel to check out the issue

To speculate from the internet-- is just that.

To have something happen while you sleep
is odd,so I would be inclined to go with something
like an electronic parking brake issue,if that applies

My tahoe is completely dead the battery and alternator tested good. prior to it dying the lights and the a/c would occasionally glitch out.

Test your positive and negative cables for continuity. Sounds like you have a cable not doing the job. Also be sure to check connection is secure

How do i fix my dashboard lights on my 1986 chevy nova?

Turn the light switch on and check your tail lights. Back then the tail and dash lights work on the same circuit inside the headlight switch so if one was out so was the other. If this is the case you need a new headlight switch. If not, there should be a fuse in your panel marked "instr". that's for the dash lights. Hope this helps.

Air bag light showing at the dashboard. It's intermittent happening. The air bag light dissapeared for a month then iy\t's back again. It usually appears for a couple of days. What could be causing t

The airbag light on the dashboard comes for few reasons, either there is a bad connection or connection came loose but than the light would stay on at all times, if it comes periodically than I would look up to the owner's manual and also find the airbag check label inside the car as it might be faulty or in need of replacement. The danger is that if it is faulty it can blow up by itself or in case of accident (hope none happens) it will malfunction.

It sounds like you have an issue with your PassLock security system. I had the same with my 2002 Impala. Key turns OK, but won't start, won't crank. Wait 20-30 minutes, and car starts normally. There is usually a clue from the Battery and Security lights.
The problem starting to happen once a month, and eventually 1-2 times a week.
There are several write-ups on this problem for several GM cars for 2000-2006(?). Search this website, and search the web.
The official solution is to replace the ignition switch. The best solution is to bypass the Pass Lock system. I went ahead and did a full bypass, which involves cutting wires and adding resistors to the ignition circuit. I have not had a problem since.

My jeeps gauges are going back and forth out of control every once in awhile. It happens usually within a minute of starting it and goes to normal once you drive a ways. This morning i went to start it and...

Probably neither. Chrysler vehicles and their Mitsubishi counterparts have a common problem with the instrument cluster contacts (the plug in the back) developing stress cracks and losing contact. It'll have to be replaced or repaired. If it does it again, turn the key on in the run position and hit the dashboard above the steering wheel. But don't hurt yourself or hit it hard enough to break anything. If/when they come back to life you'll be sure it's the problem. P.S. Make sure any children or neighbors aren't watching. If you could be so kind to try it, please rate my assistance and leave a testimonial to to assist others in the future.

You need to go straight to the shop, the battery light is on because your alternator is not charging the truck will only run until battery drains again, the brakes have nothing to do with it,hope the shop is not far away the battery will build itself up enough to start and run a few miles try not to use heater, radio or lights so you will make it, the only other thing that may have happened is the belt broke, but i think its the alternator, good luck hope this is helpful.

Dash, running lights, radio..on and off

Something similar happened to my 2005. the gauges went crazy! stopped half way or dropped completely down. Like the fuel indicator, speedometer, tach. While I never lost the radio or headlights, I did lose my dashboard lights--pretty creepy at night. My husband did some online digging and found the problem. In the dashboard gauge set-up there is a poor solder on one of the electronic components. He took the gauge center off, popped it open, found the crappy solder, fixed it, put it back in and it has worked fine ever since!!!

the ****--Ford knows about this faulty soldering and since it doesn\'t happen to ALL of the cars--just a select few(even more models we found out later)--they won\'t do a recall. Even if you take it to a dealership for them to fix, odds are they could replace it with an entire unit with the same problem. Your best bet is to fix the bad solder yourself or find someone who can.
