Is it possible that a muffler in desperate need of replacement could jiggle a wire loose? If I smack the dash hard enough the motor kicks on!

The blower motor is going bad. It's not a difficult job. It requires removing the computer unit from the top of the coolant resevoir tank, removing the resevoir tank, trimming the plastic casing around the blower motor and then removing the blower motor. You can find blower motors on-line for around $50 and anyone decent in the garage should be able to change the motor in about an hour.

The Blower Motor is trying to stop. On the Passenger side under the Dash is a Round Rover. This cover is Bolted on. Remove the Cover and the Blower Motor is Behind the Cover. Remove the Wiring clip from this and Remove it. Take it down and get the New one. Goes on in Reverse. Let me know if you have any Problems!

Front heater won't blow. There is heat though. Back works fine. Fuses are fine. At times it will start working only to not blow the heat again. 2002 Olds Bravada

If the blower motor doesn't not turn on than its very likley that the blower resistor or the blower itself is bad. This will help figure out which one of the two it is.

Chevy Blazer 2000- blower not working

this is what is wrong, its called the heater blower motor resister its what regulates blower speeds and also makes blower run. $20.00 at autozone. now sometimes the plug, and wires, going to it will burn if this is the case that plug will have to be chg.too you can get that at autozone also, but i don't know how much it is, i can't imagen its anymore than the resister. i don't know what labor rates are around your area. but it should not take any longer than1 to 2 hours maybe less, and maybe a half hour, if they have to chg. the plug. believe me its the resister i have changed a lot of them, very common problem. hope this help you out.
