Grinding noise from rear wheel of carvan while driving

Was the parking brake on? Sitting that long it may be hanging
up a little. The cable may have a little rust on it and it's not releasing
all the way. If thats the case you may be able to feel the back
wheels after driving a little and they will feel hot or you may even
smell the brake shoes wearing.

I cany get the passenger side cv joint loose from where it goes into the trans

One is to get a pry bar, and try to pry the joint out of the transmission. There is also a slidehammer tool that will also do the trick. I again...am lazy, and I don't feel like prying and pinching my fingers. I used a 3/4 extension about 8 inches long, and my trusty mini sledge. Put it on the thick part of the joint, and TAP, not hammer it. The retainer ring will pop loose, and the shaft will slide out. You may lose a little bit of transmission fluid, and this is normal. There won't be a significant amount of loss though, just be prepared to get some on you. have a great day!!

Where is the location of the crankshaft positioning sensor on a 1994 dodge caravan van

It is on top of trans bell-housing / a ten mm. bolt holds it in place. may have to remove air filter to see it. it reads off of fly wheel, it is a little bit toured the fire wall on transmission . if you have perched the new one you will know more of what it looks like . hope this helps . feel free to ask again should you want any further assistance. maybe some one can supply a picture. Have a Good Day.

1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee will not start...has locked up several times in the past few day. Won't turn over at all.

Do you hear the starter relay clicking?

If yes then its a bad battery or the starter.

If no then its either the relay or the starter.

From what you've written it points to the starter. This can happen because they do wear out. Its easy to get a reconditioned one and an easy job to replace.

Cant find crankshaft sensor location on my 1993 pontac grand prix se 2door 3.1 v6

It is on the back side of the engine block a little past the center. You can't see worth a s#*t but can access it by feel by reaching under & around the alternator or remove alternator to make it easier. You'll need an 8mm socket on a 1/4" drive ratchet & some patience but it can be done.
