Where is the low side valve located in a 2009 Volkswagen Routan for the air conditioning

It's the larger aluminum tube with a spigot on it. Should be near the firewall but with transverse mounted engine it could be anywhere....look for the larger aluminum tube and hook up a/c refill there. Be sure to start engine and turn a/c on with high fan and lowest temp BEFORE hooking up the a/c refill valve. Its a MUST.

I think I need a thermostat for my 2009 Pontiac Torrent, Heat comes and goes, I checked and I have coolent

Its possible the thermostat is not working correctly, but quick changes with the heat is usually from being low on coolant or a problem with the blend doors under the dash.
Your temp gauge should be going up and down if the thermostat is not working right. And it would take a few minutes for a change to be noticed. As the thermostat closed the engine would heat up, then cool down if it opened.

Where is the location of the thermostat on a M-B B170

The thermostat is fixed inside a black plastic molulding that is bolted to the side of the engine block have a look at the ebay item 270944675521 to get a visual reference for what you are looking for. You can not buy just the thermostat you have to buy the whole plastic moulding and pipework.

You will certainly need to remove the engine covers and this transverse mounted engine is likely to be a tight squeeze. A faulty thermostat is unusual, are you sure it isn't another cooling problem?

How to check the transmisson fluid on a dodge journey sxt 2009

Hi, I will assume this vehicle has an automatic transmision, and a transverse mounted engine. If this is the case the transmision dipstick will usually be located under the hood on the passenger side of the car,
between the engine/trans. and the firewall. Some are on the drivers side based on exactly which drive train is in the vehicle. It will also usually say trans or something similar on it.This should be checked when the vehicle is hot running, in Park and on a level surface.
Hope this helps Vern

How to change fan belt

Loosen the bolts that hold the power steering pump to it's bracket and use the transverse bolt under the pump to loosen it.
If there is no diagram of the belt routing on the radiator support, draw one then remove and replace the belt. Use the same transverse bolt to tighten the pump 'till you have one inch or less deflection in the belt. Tighten the other bolts you loosened and you are done. Always check adjustment after the first day running .
Most will not need a second adjustment but always good to check.

Change the thermostrate

Your thermostat is located under a metal housing on the top of the engine. The upper radiator hose connects to this housing. To change the thermostat you basically need to drain the radiator after your engine is cold, disconnect the upper radiator hose from the engine, and remove the bolts from the small housing. replace the thermostat, and clean the surfaces on both sides and replace the gasket too. reinstall the housing, attach the hose, and refill the radiator. start the engine, warm it up and check for leaks, then re check the coolant level after the engine cools off again
