Question about 1999 Isuzu Rodeo

Rear window on 1999 Isuzu Rodeo won't stay up--seems like the shocks (manual calls them "gas stay") maybe shot--do you know how the replace them so the door stops klunking me on the head?

Are they difficult to replace (for a non-mechanical person)?

I have the same problem. I don't want to pay dealer prices. do you know where I can find them? They look easy enough to install myself. The problem is I don;t even know what to call them for search purposes. any advice?

The window cdartrige has lost the charge. Unfortunately when this happens you need to purchase new ones. I hope this helps. Please rate my answer.

Be carefull install it because it holds a lot of pressure. Just take the bolts out at the top and bottom. Make sure the window is up at time you remove and replace.

I need a digram showing me how to change the shocks on my 1999 isuzu rodeo

It is quite easy really, Remove the wheel on the corner you want to change, The back ones have one bolt at the top and one at the bottom, Simply unbolt the old one and fit the new one, The front ones are pretty much the same but they may have 2 bolts at one or both ends, Simply unbolt and fit the new ones, just make sure the replacements are bolted in tightly.

Pinging sound from vehicle

The pinging is commonly caused by fuel problems ... usually a tankful or two of premium will clear it up. If not have it checked.

The front and rear shocks are different. You can even check this by going to www.autozone.com

This means you need to head to the junk yard and replace the unit that controlls all the windows from the drivers seat. Very simple fix. Good luck
