stands for Tire Pressure Monitor System= TPMS. check all tire pressures (when cold if possible) and adjust them according to the tire pressure sticker on the drivers door jamb, glove box, another door jamb or center console compartment(inside).even check the spare tire pressure. the lite comes on to tell you that either 1 or more tires is considerably lower or higher in pressure than the rest. once u adjust the pressures correctly, look in the owners manual as to how to reset/shut off the light. on alot of cars if u drive the car for awhile the light will reset and go off .hope this helps.

Interior lights won't turn off in my 2012 sonata

typically there is a switch on the light or a control on your dash dimmer control. If adjusting the switch with the door shut does not turn off the light within a couple minutes then the switch bad and would need to be replaced.

Upside horse shoe with exclamation point shows on dash

That would be your TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) light. If you set your tire pressures to the tire pressure listed on the sticker on the drivers door you should be ok. Note, you will have to drive the car more than 20mph for at least 15 seconds for the light to go out.

If the light stays on, and you just had tire(s) repaired or replaced you should return to the place that installed them and have them diagnose and repair the problem.

If you switched the rims (because you have a separate set of snow tires mounted on rims already, or have aftermarket rims now) then you might not have sensors in those rims and may have to deal with the light. The place that changed them should have told you this though.

If none of the above applies, and you put air in your tires and it didn't help, then you should turn to your local Hyundai dealer for a diagnosis. They have a special scan tool specific to Hyundai for reading that control module, it's codes, and it's live data from the tire pressure sensors. They should be able to make a fast diagnosis and get you on your way.

Good luck!

Just bought a 2007 Hyundai Sonata. Sensor Light on drivers side is on entire time car is off, is this a problem?

Yes... it's a problem. There should be NO dash (instrument panel) lights when the key is out of the ignition and all doors are closed. Whichever 'sensor light' you're talking about, it can discharge the battery over night. This issue may still be under warranty.. Take it in for diagnosis/repair.
