I put central locking on my new Kia Picanto, excludes boot/trunk! I must manually lock boot with ignition key, a security risk and inconvenient. Is this "central locking" when ALL doors don't lock!

No! Central locking means all locks on a vehicle can be locked and unlocked from one lock or by using a remote key fob and not individually.

The boot doesn't open up any more what do I do? # central lock

Is there a setting in the cars menu that deactivates the boot lock? You may have inadvertently switched it to not reacting to central locking.

First try lubricating locks with powdered graphite. Avoid ALL liquid lock lubricants. Then work locks through all positions from passenger door. (single lock positions & double lock position) Lastly operate locks via boot lock.

My 1995 toyota lexen central locking works on all doors except the Driver door any ideas on where i might start looking is a full central lock replacement or just a fuse???

Mine is the opposite... driver's door works, all others are locked and can't be opened, even from inside. Suspect may be something to do with central locking...maybe needs re-booting somehow??

I have a 1999 vw bora, and the boot will not lock/unlock along with the other doors via key fob or inside drivers door button. I always have to use the key to manually open the boot. I've tried leaving...

this could be due to the fact that the boot locking mechanisim may not be responding to the central locking servo it could be a fuse or relay or maybe even to do with the wireing hope it helps but i suggest that you take it to a garage because it can be a number of things and volkswagen should know if there is a common fault with this get in contact with them

CENTRAL LOCKING NOT OPENING BOOT

My passat boot lock does the same because someone forced the lock one night, i replaced the lock barrel but from time to time the white plastic acctuator or pump if you want to call it that jams in the open position and needs a small tap with the boot lining removed to free it up.A replacement is only £23(U.K pounds) or just spay a little lubricant in the mechanism to free up the mostly dry plastic parts.
