How do I get electronic key push fob out of ignition switch?

No, the immobilized does not prevent key removal. You just have to ensure you are turning it all the way off, in park, with the brake on, and the steering lock is not hung up by something like wheels on the curb.

what is goal, move car 10 feet or 10 miles>
we can not guess goals.
but you can unlock the parking shifter. right?
but there are 3 locks.
  1. park lock
  2. steering lock
  3. and ENGINE EFI lock outs.

to move any car no key you must defeat #1 and 2.
number 1 is easy the console , park defeat lever. gets you to neutral easy.
the steering is big problem huh? no key
if you can get it to neutral, you can push any car.
but turning is an issue.
having only 1 key invites this. , if you had even 1 spare metal key
the steering would be free.

Ignition switch will not engage/turn to start car

Hi Beth usually when shifter is stuck there is a locking mechanism and keeps shifter from engaging unless brake is depressed to release the lock. If you hear a clicking sound when pedal is depressed then switch is probably ok and its probably the steering wheel lock. First try with your spare key to start the vehicle(old key may be worn ). If that doesn't do it then try with WD 40 a very little in ignition key hole or on the key work it slowly and see what happens. If none of these suggestions work its probably the steering wheel lock and that requires surgery. Keep me post best of luck

KEY WON'T TURN ON THE IGNITION

Hi Aldene, Your vehicle seems too young to have a problem with a worn key so I suggest that the problem was related to the position of the steering wheel and the tongue of the locking mechanism. Sometimes when the lock engages it is under the load of the weight of the front wheels, if they are not in the straight ahead position. A small movement of the steering wheel is usually enough to release the steering lock. Regards John

My starter won't turn over because of the immobilizer

It could be the neutral safety switch if it is an automatic trans.
On most cars you can disable the alarm by locking and unlocking the drivers door with the key.
A mechanic would check for voltage at the starter, the neutral safety switch or clutch switch, and the key switch.

Key stuck in steering wheel

Start with the simple things first. Make sure the shifter is fully engaged in park. You may find it helpful to park on a level surface, hold your foot on the brake, shift into neutral, use the "E brake" and then shift it into park. That will take any tension off the trans which may be a part of your problem. Next, GENTLY turn the key back to the "lock" position. While keeping LIGHT pressure on the key, turn the steering wheel back and forward to get it to lock. Make sure there is no pressure on the wheel in that position (again, that could be causing your problem). Try that for starters and let me know how you do. Also, please include more info about your issue. Has this happened before, any other problems (seemingly related or no)? Whatever you do, gentle is the way to be here! The last thing you need is a key broken off in the lock. Good luck!

What do when my key gets stuck in my ignition to my Cadillac cts

If the steering will lock is on take pressure off the lock by turning the steering wheel one way or the other. Otherwise if it just jams up oil the hole where the key goes then this will help the tumblers from getting stuck. Next would be have a new key made. If that doesn't do it replace the lock. Good luck.

Key will not go into lock position - and I cant remove it on 2000 Bravada. The trans works fine.. the car starts fine.. I just cannot move the key to the lock position and remove it. Any help for this one?

Make sure the car is completely in park. I have had to wiggle the steering wheel to make sure it engages in the locked position before it will let me remove the key. For some reason, the ignition doesn't recognize the vehicle is in park.
