Needing a valve job or is there something that I'm over looking?
Oil on spark plug ceramic insulation ( internal as to from under the wire cover) indicates oil coming past the rings ---worn-- or from the valve guides past the valve stems. Allow the engine for say the time it takes for a set of trafficlights to change and then give it a rev as if you are moving off. If you see a cloud of blue smoke it is either the valve guide worn out or the valve stem seals have gone hard and letting oil run down the stems . A compentenant mechanic should be able to replace the seals with out removing the head but if is rings ( noticeable when the engine is under load) then I would sau you are in for an engine replacement or rebuild. In the shot term You can get a hotter plug which will burn the oil from the plug. A hotter plug has a longer cernamic insulator thereby retainning the heat around the plug to burn off the oil See the auto spares to get what I mean
