It sounds like your front end might have something loose that causes it to move around from the added torque of the 4X4. If its under warranty, take it to the dealer and have it looked at.

that sounds like a bad universal joint on the transfer case to the front axle. have that checked out

You can check for a Vacuum leak to the IWEs on the front wheels.
There is also a vent line that should be checked on them ( tube that points up, and goes to nothing ).
The IWEs are VAC operated, and if you have a cracked vac line, or the vac "bottle" the IWE will pop out.
Could be another problem, but I would start with the easy check, the vac lines from the IWE up to the splitter.

if the front axel seals are starting to leak this could be the problem,very common. the 4WD on this vehicle uses vacuum to make the system work=leakings seals low or no vacuum no 4WD.get back to me if you need more help,PLEASE rate my fix as i strive to be the best Thanks Ray
