i show 4 variations , there is a base radio , a jbl system , a premium with cd and a premium without cd , i would need to know what you had from the factory to give the correct wiring .

this link only shows 1 wiring , if you trust it. >

Perhaps there was another system installed at another time and someone cut the wires within the system to make that particular stereo system work. Inspect the wires all the way from the decks wiring harness to the speakers, they could be cut and you might be able to splice the wires and reconnect them or you may have to run seperate speaker wire for each speaker to resolve this issue.

I'm trying to install an aftermarket cd player in my 97 explorer when I wiring in the new deck to the speakers they don't no sound comes through the stock speakers is there an app I need to find?

you can buy an adapter the plugs into the factory wiring and the new radio so you don`t cut and butcher the wiring of the car. it covers the wiring for the speakers as well. going by your photo this looks like a bad wiring and splice job.

try hooking the radio power wires to the battery! To '' TEST'' twist red and yellow put on the poss. blk. on neg. ! take a speaker and test speaker wire out put! if don't work output is blown out! but will still work with rca jacks hook to small amp ! this to pull sound out of your radio for sure!!
